What the Job Involves This role involves assisting in the provision of high-quality care and education for children in partnership with their parents and supporting teachers and nursery education workers to maintain a safe environment. You will take joint responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children, facilitate their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development, and support children with special educational needs. You will also maintain relationships as a co-key person for a small group of children, ensuring continuity of care. The role requires active participation in observation, assessment, and planning to meet children's needs and interests, promoting positive behavior, and aiding transitions between nursery and primary school. You will display children's work to highlight their achievements and stay informed of current early years practices. Additionally, you will be expected to adhere to the nursery's Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies and participate in ongoing professional development.
