The role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your leadership will drive excellence across every stage of delivery, making a real impact on national security and public infrastructure.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
• Lead complex delivery programmes across multiple business areas, ensuring KPIs and deadlines are met
• Own full project lifecycles, managing multiple major initiatives from initiation to completion.
• Proactively manage risks and issues, driving effective mitigation strategies.
• Shape and enhance delivery practices, tools, and partnerships to strengthen organisational capability.
• Inspire and guide project teams to achieve milestones and deliver high-impact outcomes.
This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.
Essential experience of the Project Manager:
1. Exceptional planning, coordination, and organisational abilities to manage complex initiatives with precision
2. Proven leadership, diplomacy, and motivational skills, with the ability to influence across all levels and functions
3. Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 for effective project scheduling and control.
Qualifications for the Project Manager:
4. Minimum Level 5 qualification under the National Qualification Framework (e.g. Foundation Degree, Level 5 NVQ, or HND), or equivalent relevant experience
5. Certified in a recognised project management methodology.
