Key Responsibilities:
: Supervise planned and reactive maintenance tasks, collaborating closely with the building engineering Supervisor and the daily team.
: Liaise with Engineering management and client representatives to ensure maintenance aligns with site regulations, policies, and health and safety standards.
: Report to the Engineering Supervisor while on:site, supporting shift teams in executing tasks safely and efficiently within specific timeframes.
Role Overview: As the Mechanical Data Centre Engineer, you will:
: Conduct regular maintenance on building systems and equipment, ensuring they meet and surpass service level agreements.
: Address Building Management System alarms promptly and handle emergency repairs as necessary.
: Administer the Permit to Work systems and ensure adherence to switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs.
: Manage availability of essential spare parts for critical equipment.
: Coordinate with engineering subcontractors, ensuring they uphold contractual obligations and site protocols.
: Foster positive relationships with team members and client personnel.
: Uphold a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all company and client policies and procedures.
: Maintain professionalism, offering exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
: Stay updated with industry advancements, emphasizing continuous learning and personal development.
: Oversee incident response, particularly during unforeseen events or faults on site.
: Exhibit expertise in handling critical mechanical systems like Chilled water systems, Pumps, ACUs, Motors, and more.
Experience and Qualifications:
: Advantageous to have Manual Handling Training.
: HV Authorization required.
: Valid Wiring Regulations certificate.
: Level 3 NVQ in a related discipline.
: Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification.
: Proven experience in incident/fault management within critical environments.
: Demonstrated proficiency in health and safety protocols related to maintenance tasks.
: Effective verbal communication skills.
: Numeracy and literacy skills.
: Commitment to safety, integrity, and diligence.
: Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
: Well:organized with the capability to manage high:pressure situations.
: Professional demeanor with strong client:facing skills.
: Comfortable operating vertical access equipment.
: Flexible with working hours.
: Preferred certifications: PASMA and IPAF.
: Familiarity with interconnected systems (Fire, PMS, BMS).
