We are currently looking for a Carbon and ESG Reporting Manager
The business has set Science Based Targets and is looking for a Carbon and ESG Reporting Manager to help the business meet its decarbonisation goals by leading carbon accounting for the business, including across its supply chain scope 3 impacts.
The role holder will be the technical specialist for carbon and is responsible for working with key stakeholders to help improve data capture related to carbon, and from this produce analysis and provide insight to help key stakeholders understand the carbon impacts of commercial decisions. This will also include providing support in planning/forecasting to ensure that carbon is built into commercial decisions and embedded into reporting and performance of the business.
In addition to carbon the role holder will provide dedicated data analysis for the ESG team to support internal and external data reporting.
* Approximately 75% and the priority of the role will be managing carbon accounting and reporting for the business and its scope 3 impacts, through leading on corporate carbon footprint re-baselining and data improvement strategies.
* Working closely with key stakeholders to improve data capture and provide carbon data analysis and support to the business, including customer, supplier and product level data gathering and reporting.
* Creation and maintenance of forecasting and scenario models and embed carbon into capital decision making, to inform action plans and enable emission reduction in line with GHG protocol.
* Improve carbon literacy across the business and its key suppliers.
* Approximately 25% of the role will be supporting the ESG team with broader data analysis, manipulation, interpretation, and presentation to inform strategy and performance management, and stakeholder reporting both internally and externally.
* Work alongside analytics and BI functions to drive improvements in insight, reporting and processes.
What you can already do
* Experience of carbon foot printing in line with GHG protocol
* Experienced user of Excel is essential.
* Ability to design, create and interpret complex data sources and present findings to key stakeholders is essential.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a data analysis focused role
* Analytical - the ability to analyse, interpret, derive insights and communicate carbon and other business data to a range of stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge.
* Organisational skills - personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key.
* Communication skills - managing diverse stakeholders and viewpoints.
* Commercial acumen - to get involved in strategic decision-making within the business as an influencer.
* Role modelling - demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives and culture of the organisation.
