What you will do:
* Conduct statutory assessments in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation.
* Collaborate closely with children, young people, and families to identify needs, risks, and protective factors.
* Develop and execute care plans that enhance the safety and well-being of children.
* Work alongside multi-agency professionals, such as schools, health services, and safeguarding teams.
* Ensure children’s voices are prioritised in assessment and planning processes.
* Prepare and present insightful reports for case conferences, court proceedings, and care planning meetings.
* Maintain precise and up-to-date case records in line with council guidelines and statutory requirements.

Luton Borough Council is searching for a Social Worker who holds a degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and is registered with Social Work England. Candidates should have robust experience in children’s social care within a local authority, alongside strong assessment, analytical, and reporting skills.
