SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 & KS2Location: OrpingtonStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-Time
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Orpington on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing school environment.
The Role
* Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
* Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to implement individual learning plans.
* Support pupils both within the classroom and through small-group or one-to-one interventions.
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to support pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
