Pay rate – £40 per hour Contract – Temporary Liverpool City Council are recruiting an experienced children’s Deputy Team Manager for their Safeguarding team. 35hrs per week 3-month contract 3 days per week in office (Edge Hill, L7 1PH) / free car parking out of city Non-case holding Must be experienced and skilled Deputy Team Manager, who has previously supervised and managed social workers Will be very knowledgeable in Children's Safeguarding - having previously worked in this service, particularly in relation to managing risk within Child Protection. Must work at pace, with robust and confident decision-making skills to support Team Manager in this busy social work team (approximately 10 social workers of mixed experience and qualification) Ideally will be a Practice Educator You will have sound knowledge of all relevant children's legislation, statutory guidance, processes, procedures and frameworks You will work with the Team Manager to increase practice and performance and improve outcomes for all our children and young people Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
