Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting for a Planning Manager to join our Infrastructure Water team in Cambridge.
We are working on a major new project to build a modern wastewater treatment plant at Honey Hill, just north of the A14 between Horningsea and Fen Ditton. This new plant will replace the current one in the northeast of Cambridge.
What will you be doing as our new Planning Manager?
1. Establish the project-level collaborative planning approach to drive engagement of the whole project team with the programme.
2. Develop the planning approach for the project, considering both our customers and Skanska's planning requirements.
3. Interrogate the programme to identify areas for improvement, risk reduction, and potential issues across the project.
4. Conduct regular peer reviews of the programme, challenging it with both planners and the wider project team.
5. Serve as the link between planning and our customers.
A little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours
1. Specific experience with water treatment projects.
2. Significant construction planning experience with a Tier 1 infrastructure contractor.
3. Proven experience in planning major projects, ideally within the water or civil engineering sector.
4. Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and collaborative planning processes.
5. Leadership experience in managing and developing planning teams.
6. Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
