Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, driven Emergency Care Technicians with excellent clinical and communication skills to join the Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. The MSDEC service aims to provide streamlined, safe, patient-centered care, enabling many patients requiring emergency care to be managed the same day without hospital admission.
The successful candidate will be part of the nursing team, supporting timely investigations and delivering core clinical skills within the MSDEC process, while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
* Support the nursing team to ensure timely investigations and patient care within the MSDEC pathway.
* Carry out specific clinical skills including cannulation, venipuncture, collection of blood cultures, and electrocardiograms (ECGs).
* Support all fundamentals of care to ensure patients have a positive experience of the MSDEC process.
Qualifications and Experience
* Enthusiastic, driven Emergency Care Technicians with excellent clinical and communication skills.
* Proven interpersonal skills and acute medicine experience.
* Ability to demonstrate clinical expertise and knowledge to support the team in delivering a high-quality, safe patient journey.
