At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people s lives. About the Team The Violence Reduction Partnership needs a Part-time Development Officer ! The Bath & North East Somerset Violence Reduction Partnership (VRU) is a multi-agency group that aims to prevent and reduce violence in the area. We work to understand and address the root causes of violence, so we can prevent further violent crimes from occurring in the future. We believe that intervening and preventing issues early is the best way to ensure children, families and communities lead lives free from violence and trauma. We aim to divert children at risk of violence (either as a victim or offender) away from that risk, and to manage the risk of serious violence in the community. About the Role We are looking for a capable Developmental Officer to Support delivery of the local Serious Violence Response Plan, submit claims for grant funding and organise and record meeting Undertake scoping and project work to support development of new pieces of work Support the Co-ordinator in making monthly and annual monitoring returns to the Office for the Police and Crime Commissioner Manage the project plan to capture key milestones, flagging risks to the VRU coordinator where appropriate With the VRU Coordinator plan and organize the annual VRU conference. The post is for 4 days per week and can be worked flexibly around other commitments. In the first instance you will be working flexibly from home, with access to the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes walk away.
