The Role We are looking for a Youth Lead Academy Football Analyst (U9-U16) to provide insightful and deliverable performance analysis within our Academy, predominantly the late youth development phase (LYDP). In this exciting role, you'll be entrusted to support and drive standards across all analysis processes at our club’s highly reputable Hale End site, whilst successfully line managing Academy Football Analysts. Your day-to-day Provide insightful training analysis - you will support video capture with world-leading camera software and oversee the management of individual/unit/team training databasing to provide feedback and coaching material for both players and coaches, in order to aid relevant development areas and seek opportunities to enhance understanding and provide valuable feedback on player performance/development Deliver individual analysis - you'll relish the opportunity to lead in the delivery of a detailed, regular individual player review programme, including both the preparation of material (video and data), as well as the provision of such work to both coaches and players Play a vital role in the match-cycle - you'll support in the preparation of all pre-match opposition analysis content, providing key trends with the aim of educating and preparing LYDP players to be Sobha ready and you will lead in individual post-match processes, overseeing player databases and feedback support for coach delivery Attend domestic and international fixtures - you will diligently live capture and drive matchday feedback opportunities to enhance coach delivery and player development, providing valuable observations around individual performance and areas of strength and improvement Collaborate with key colleagues - you will work closely with our Data Analytics team and coaching staff around all individual post-match content and lead in the education of this approach to our Academy staff and players Prioritise education and development - you'll keenly establish an education syllabus (Hudl/Data Analytics/Game Model/Technical Competencies) alongside coaching staff for players to enhance their learning and ensure smooth transitions from phases/site, and you will coordinate with relevant teams to support and drive holistic player development Inspire and coach direct reports - you'll passionately manage and mentor direct reports to drive our lifelong learner pillar and departmental objectives Uphold our high standards - you will proudly evolve consistency across both sites and build a key working relationship with our Lead Academy Football Analyst to champion the highest standards and drive forward technological advancements to ensure we're continually industry-leading in our approach What we are looking for Background in professional football - you come with a history of working within professional football in order to understand the inner mechanics of football culture and the core aims of an elite academy programme and you possess a good technical and tactical understanding of strategies, systems, philosophies and game models Track record of impactful leadership - you're well versed in leading and line managing direct reports within a small department and uniting a team towards a common goal Credible expertise - you are equipped with a minimum undergraduate degree relating to the field of Sports Science, Coaching and Performance or Performance Analysis and you hold a UEFA-C Coaching License Knowledge of key methodologies - you pride yourself on your excellent understanding of varying working methodologies and best practices within elite sports analysis Growth mindset - you've got a proven track record in expanding analysis processes and workflows and you're easily able to adapt to emerging technologies and their application in automating working processes Best-in-class communicator - you have exceptional inter-personal skills that facilitate the effective delivery of performance insights, build connections and support a solid team cohesion and you can deliver and communicate to a variety of stakeholders Confident with critical tools - you've ideally worked with a range of software/hardware including: MacBook Packages, Hudl Pro Suite – Hudl.com/Hudl Sportscode/Hudl Studio/CODA, Video Editing software and Game On Technologies Ambassador for our club - you actively champion our standards and embody our club's values and you have a natural desire to continuously challenge, reflect, learn and move forward Why choose us At Arsenal, we want everyone to feel a sense of trust and belonging, so we are proud of both our club values and also what we offer to our employees.
