Senior Sales Administrator

Derbyshire | Office-Based | £28,000 - £35,000 DOE

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Immediate Start Available

Are you an experienced Sales Administrator looking for your next challenge? Do you have the resilience to handle demanding situations and the confidence to deal with B2B customers in a fast-paced, sometimes pressurised environment?

We’re working with a well-established and respected business in a male-dominated, trade-focused industry, who are looking to appoint a Senior Sales Administrator to join their tight-knit team. This is a key role requiring strong communication skills, a cool head under pressure, and the ability to de-escalate tricky conversations with professionalism and empathy.

This position would suit someone with experience in customer service or sales administration, particularly in a setting where they’ve had to deal with challenging clients or complaints. Supervisory experience would be a strong advantage and will be reflected in the higher end of the salary range.

Key Responsibilities:

Process sales orders received via email and internal systems, ensuring prompt acknowledgements

Monitor and allocate orders, updating customers on lead times and any delays

Handle incoming issues and complaints from trade customers and retailers calmly and efficiently

Maintain accurate records of complaints, technical issues, and deliveries

Liaise with internal teams including Credit Control and Warehouse regarding customer accounts and stock dispatch

Generate reports on customer order status

Oversee bespoke order processes via the factory platform

Manage a high-volume inbox with attention to accuracy and response time

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Sales Administrator (essential)

B2B or retail account customer service experience (preferred)

Strong problem-solving and complaint-handling ability

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

A resilient, calm, and diplomatic communicator, able to diffuse tension and retain customer loyalty

Familiarity with order processing systems and Microsoft Office

Supervisory experience or a desire to take on more responsibility is a real bonus
