We are looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our busy pub and hotel operation in the heart of the New Forest. Own transport is essential due to working hours and location This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen serving high-quality food across a mix of busy pub dining, weddings, and private events. The Role: Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene Assisting with menu development and event catering Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence Working across weddings, functions, and busy service periods Working Hours: 5 days out of 7 Typically 11:00am – 9:30pm Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the business, you will lead by example Occasional breakfast shifts required About You: Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up Calm under pressure in a high-volume environment Passion for cooking, leading in a busy environment Strong leadership and communication skills Flexible and reliable team player ideally previous experience of Alert 65, Procure Wizard and Rota Ready but this can be trained What We Offer: Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality setting Exposure to weddings and large-scale events Supportive team environment If you’re a motivated chef looking to take the next step in a dynamic and rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you.
