Join Our Team at Sunrose Learning Hub – Creative Education for Home-Educated Children
Are you passionate about creativity, hands-on learning, and alternative education?
Sunrose Learning Hub in Irlam, Manchester is a unique, Reggio Emilia -inspired, community-based space offering informal yet enriching education for home-educated children (ages 3–11)
We are looking for a Lead Session Guide (approx. 26 hours per week, across 3 days) to help shape and deliver our inspiring child-led Sessions.
Your Role
Plan and lead engaging, themed sessions that include creative projects, life skills, arts and crafts, eco-awareness, mindfulness, fun experiments, and more.
Support children's academic and personal growth, helping to create individual learning journeys where needed.
Foster a warm, inclusive, and creative environment that celebrates each child's uniqueness.
Work collaboratively with our team, guiding and supporting staff and volunteers to ensure smooth, safe sessions.
Maintain accurate registers and simple progress notes, while keeping open communication with families.
Follow Sunrose Learning Hub's policies and Ofsted requirements to ensure the well-being of all children.
What We're Looking For
Experience in teaching, childcare, or leading groups of children (e.g., school, early years, youth work, or similar).
A creative, open-minded, and adaptable approach – comfortable working outside traditional classroom models.
A passion for child-led, hands-on, and project-based learning.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
