Responsibilities
* Ensure the safe crossing of pedestrians near school grounds as part of the School Crossing Patrol duties.
* Be stationed at Knight's Lane, supporting Alveston Primary School, and help everyone get to school safely and with a smile.
* Adhere to the Fluency Duty: you must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
* Attend training and wear the provided uniform.
* Engage with the community as a trusted, outdoors-facing representative.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public (Fluency Duty).
* Reliable, community-minded, and able to work outdoors.
* Successful completion of pre-engagement checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 applies.
* Approximate hours per week: 6 hours (Monday to Friday, AM & PM, term time only, 38 weeks).
* Permanent role.
