This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to work closely with the Finance Director, taking ownership of core financial reporting and playing a key role in strengthening the finance function.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial information, with a particular focus on month-end, reporting, and balance sheet integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full involvement in month-end close processes
* Balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
* Posting journals including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
* Handling bank and key account reconciliations
* Supporting revenue and rebate accounting (accruals, analysis, reporting)
* VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements
* Assisting with financial reporting, including external submissions
* Supporting improvements to financial controls and processes
The Candidate
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
You’ll ideally have:
* Strong financial accounting experience in a busy environment
* Advanced Excel skills (comfortable handling large volumes of data)
* A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong ownership mindset
* The ability to process work quickly without compromising quality
* Experience in a manufacturing or operational business (desirable)
* Exposure to tools such as Power BI, SQL, or reporting systems (advantageous)
