The Role: Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
Pay: £40,000 – £50,000 per year
Location: Barlborough, Chesterfield, S43
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Sunday, rota-based)
On-call: 1 week out of every 6
About the Role
Are you a passionate and experienced Learning Disability Nurse with a strong background in training and development? Josh's Care Company is looking for a committed RNLD to join our clinical team and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
This role plays a vital part in maintaining clinical standards, supporting staff development, and improving outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care and clinical oversight for individuals with learning disabilities.
Deliver and support clinical training for staff, ensuring best practice and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, audits, and quality assurance processes.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external professionals.
Provide clinical advice and support as part of the on-call rota (1 week in 6).
Support services across a 7-day rota to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
What We're Looking For
Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a valid NMC registration.
Proven training or teaching experience within a health or social care setting.
Strong clinical knowledge of learning disability nursing and person-centred care.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work across Monday–Sunday rotas and on-call requirements.
A proactive, supportive, and solution-focused approach.
