Consultant in Cardiology

Due to service expansion, we are inviting applications for a Consultant in Cardiology, with a sub‑specialty interest in imaging (CT/cardiac MRI and/or advanced echo), although other interests will be considered. There is also the opportunity to support further development of specialist clinical services in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiomyopathy/Inherited Cardiac Conditions.

Job responsibilities
* Provide cardiology services in North Devon, with cross‑site working at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) and remote reporting and telephone clinics.
* Support the development of specialist services in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiomyopathy/Inherited Cardiac Conditions.
* Work with a multidisciplinary team including heart‑failure clinical nurse specialists, cardiac rehabilitation nurses, arrhythmia care coordinators and a range of trainees.
* Assist in teaching and research activities within the department.
* Attend on‑call duties limited to 1 in 12 weekends, 08:00‑14:00, with no overnight requirements.
Qualifications & Preferences
* Consultant in Cardiology with sub‑specialty interest in imaging (CT/cardiac MRI and/or advanced echo).
* Familiarity with adult congenital heart disease or cardiomyopathy/inherited cardiac conditions is desirable.
