We are looking an Assistant Support Worker (young people 16 to 24) to do just that.
You'll be there to listen, advise and support. To act with compassion, respect and understanding. All the while, promoting client choices and assisting in the delivery of a successful programme.
THIS IS A 40 HOURS PER WEEK POSITION - TEMP TO PERMANENT CONTRACT
What will you get?
Hourly rate of £12.87 per hour
Temporary Contract - with a view to moving towards a permanent position
The option to cover other shifts

40 hours per week
Covering various shift patterns: 7am to 3pm / 1pm to 9pm / 2 weekends a month / at least 2 days off every week
Working on a rota system
What do you need?
Experience of working with young people, or those who have been through homelessness
An understanding of trauma and how it can effect behaviours
The ability to work with others, encourage them and understand their complex lives
Be non-judgmental and empathic
Able to communicate at all levels
Willing to cover various shift patterns
Be motivated to help others
Able to complete a DBS check or have a live check on the update service (this will be covered by the employer)
What will I do?
You'll work at a small 8 bed project based in Cardiff set up specifically to support young people
You'll work within a psychologically informed framework
Aiming to deliver zero evictions within the projects
Offer post-resettlement support to young people
Help them to move and settle in to independent living once they are ready
Work in in trauma informed environment
