Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Post 16)

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (plus 1 week inset)
Hours: 31.63 hours per week
Salary: Actual salary £18,476 per annum (£25,136 full-time equivalent)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (Post 16) to join our supportive and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs, supporting their educational journey and helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support for students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they can access learning effectively.

Assist teaching staff in creating an inclusive learning environment where all learners feel valued and supported.
*
Promote independence, confidence, and personal development in young people aged 16 and above.
*
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
*
Support with behaviour management, communication, and social development as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience of working with young people with special educational needs (ideally Post 16).
*
Be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting learners’ individual needs.
*
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Be resilient, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
*
Hold (or be willing to work towards) relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning.
