FUNCTION - Working as a member of the senior team providing care and support for service users, Plan safe working practices for the care team; providing leadership, instruction and supervision to all Home Support Workers. Supervise the delivery of care, and ensure detailed care plans meet the individual needs of the service user, and that the quality of care meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor care delivery to ensure high standards, service user safety, and staff wellbeing, reporting any concerns to management.
Support the training and induction of staff, including SVQ participation and Care Inspectorate requirements.
Supervise and support care staff through regular check-ins, performance monitoring, and team development.
Carry out initial assessments, risk assessments, and care plan reviews in line with changing needs.
Deliver hands-on care when required to maintain personal practice and support the team.
Maintain accurate records related to care plans, training, attendance, and risk assessments.
Participate in the Out of Hours system and attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
Work in line with Baillieston Community Care policies, Health & Social Care Standards, and Health & Safety regulations.
Ensure confidentiality and commit to SSSC registration and ongoing professional development.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have at least six months of experience working in the care industry. Additionally, candidates should possess either an SVQ Level 2 (SCQF Level 6) or SVQ Level 3 (SCQF Level 7) qualification in Health and Social Care, or be currently working towards achieving these qualifications.
