Job Details

* Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
* Salary/Grade: £60,320 - £75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* Location: Larne


Benefits

* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Up to 20% bonus
* Car Allowance - £520pcm
* Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee\'s contribution up to 6%
* Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee\'s contribution.

This position requires a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

What You Will Do

* Work with a global team to schedule, plan, manage all materials and critical logistics activities.
* Maintain communications with operations, procurement, logistics, and distribution. Creating integrated processes to streamline supply chains.
* Interact with sales, engineering, and facilities management on production schedules and expected deliverables.
* Manage and direct the logistics specialists, including training, hiring, and coaching.
* Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to guide supply chain planning and forecasting; monitoring planned vs. actual performance and presents results to senior management.


What You Have

* Supply Chain Management - Level Extensive Experience:
o Advises others on capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.
o Consults on supply chain network design projects or processes.
o Quantifies and evaluates benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches.
o Participates in joint planning, process design/redesign with clients and partners.
* Inventory Management - Level Extensive Experience
o Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.
o Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.
o Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.
o Ensures corporate inventory management processes and procedures are adhered to.
* Logistics Management - Level Extensive Experience
o Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
o Develops and analyzes logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
o Consults on all major logistics processes, their interactions and operational requirements.
* Supplier Management - Level Extensive Experience
o Monitors supplier performance; works to resolve discrepancies between performance and agreements.
o Builds and maintains partnerships with multiple and/or large suppliers.
o Evaluates issues and terminates supplier relationships as appropriate; works with legal departments.
* Decision Making And Critical Thinking - Level Expert
o Analyzes and discusses alternatives with multiple stakeholders.
o Develops team in decision making tools to support facility planning and execution.
* Effective Communications - Level Extensive Experience
o Reviews others\' writing or presentations and provides feedback and coaching.
o Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.
o Confident with communicating with all levels of the business and external customers.
* Performance Management - Level Extensive Experience
o Gives continuing feedback, recognizes achievement, and recommends improvement.
o Defines and agrees upon performance goals and objectives with associates.
o Identifies performance problem areas early on and defines specific improvement activities.
o Adjusts and communicates performance objectives as necessary for team objectives.


Additional Information

* There is up to a 25% travel requirement - Visiting suppliers, Other CAT facilities and customers.
