Location: Heathrow | KONE
Hours: 38 hours
1. Mon–Thu: 7:00–16:00
2. Fri: 7:00–14:00
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
Bonus: 6.67% – up to 13.34%
Role Overview
We are recruiting a Senior Escalator Technician to join our Heathrow team. This is a Grade 6, technical troubleshooter role for an experienced escalator professional who can diagnose complex faults, support engineers on site, and ensure safe and reliable operation in a high-profile airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
3. Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting on escalators
4. Technical support to field engineers and service teams
5. Major repairs, adjustments, and reliability improvements
6. Ensure compliance with KONE safety standards and Heathrow procedures
7. Accurate reporting using KONE digital systems
8. Support and mentor junior engineers
Essential Requirements
9. NVQ Level 4 in Escalator Engineering – essential
10. Strong escalator technical and electrical knowledge
11. Proven experience in complex diagnostics
12. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
13. Customer-focused with good communication skills
14. Full UK driving licence & ability to obtain Heathrow clearance
