Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our esteemed hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. You will be responsible for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager and will ensure that all departments operate smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, with particular attention to F&B operations and events. This is very much a hands on role.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments meet their objectives.
* Lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
* Manage guest services, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly to ensure a memorable experience.
* Collaborate with the General Manager to recruit, train, and evaluate hotel staff.
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as hotel policies.
* Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
* Assist in the organising and delivery of events, to include guest communications.
Experience
* Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Supervising experience is essential, with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
* Strong background in guest services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Familiarity with human resources practices related to recruitment, training, and employee relations.
