We are recruiting SEND Pastoral Support Workers / SEND Teaching Assistants to join friendly, supportive schools across the North Bristol area. ⭐ Key Responsibilities (SEND Pastoral & TA Duties)
* Provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils with SEND
* Support students 1:1 and in small groups with confidence, behaviour, and emotional regulation
* Assist teachers with personalised learning activities, behaviour strategies, and structured routines
* Help create a safe, nurturing school environment where every child feels supported and valued
* Use initiative, remain proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced SEND setting
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency and care
* Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour choices

⭐ Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience in youth mentoring, sports coaching, behaviour support, or any role supporting young people
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond with empathy
* A proactive, adaptable, and positive working style
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

⭐ Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience in a SEND school, pastoral role, or SEN support
* Understanding of Autism, SEMH, trauma‑informed practice, or behaviour management
* Experience leading activities, coaching, or running sessions
* Driver with access to a car (preferred but not essential)
* Additional training such as safeguarding or first aid
