Job Title: Library Clerk
Duration: This is a temporary role, and it is currently due to last roughly 12 weeks
Location: Torbay Hospital, Newton Rd, Torquay, TQ2 7AA
Hours: Flexible, up to 22.5 hours per week, 2 - 3 days between Mon - Fri, between 8am & 10pm
Pay Banding: Band 2 - £12.51 per hour
Trust Location: Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
The postholder must have the following experience:
Administrative experience
Good typing skills
Good customer service
Job Description
* Delivering high volumes of patient records to various departments around the Hospital
* Adhering to the Health Records delivery schedule
* Involve repetitive heavy lifting of patient records in boxes and bags
* When working in the library there will be an expectation to retrieve and file case notes accurately and in a timely manner
* Ability to work under pressure both independently and as a team player
* Maintain confidentiality at all times
* Delivering and collecting case notes from various pick up points throughout the hospital
* Moving boxes of records to dispatch areas
* Answer and action requests from the A&E telephone
* Cover the service desk and action requests
* Locating misfiled notes within the Records Library
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
