The Role: The Political Engagement team is looking for a new Digital Advertising Lead to grow digital advertising sales across our unique portfolio of political media platforms. Total Politics Group publishes The House magazine, Parliament’s own publication; PoliticsHome, the UK’s most popular political news site; and ConservativeHome, the leading conservative news site in the UK, and we produce an award-winning events programme in Westminster and across the Party Conferences. We also sell and manage digital advertising across each of these titles and websites and the Labour List website, helping organisations to engage with key stakeholders in both the government and opposition. The successful candidate will use their knowledge and contacts across advertising and media agencies, and public affairs agencies, to win new clients, develop existing relationships and generate new revenues, in an environment that offers an unparalleled opportunity for year-round political engagement. Responsibilities: Lead on the growth of our digital advertising offering, through your knowledge, experience and contacts across the media landscape; Work across our portfolio of market-leading political media platforms to secure new business opportunities from new and existing clients; Identify new business opportunities and client challenges by researching current developments across politics and public affairs; Develop and engage a network of media and public affairs prospects, both in-house and agency; Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets; Liaise with Total Politics Group media, production and events departments, to create and deliver client campaigns to a high standard; Support commercial colleagues in securing and delivering content and event sponsorships; Regularly update and maintain our CRM and other company systems. Experience: Media client and/or agency sales experience - including new business development – is essential. The successful candidate should have a network of contacts across the advertising industry. Knowledge of and interest in UK politics the public affairs landscape is desirable.
