Operations Manager – Vegetation Management - Angus, Scotland - Monday to Friday - £50, basic + Minimum £5, Bonus + Pickup Truck + Private Healthcare + Laptop & Mobile

The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to take charge of a growing depot in Angus, Scotland, working within the commercial vegetation management sector. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated team while playing a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure-related contracts.

The Company:
This well-established business is recognised as a key player in the commercial grounds and vegetation management sector. Known for its reliable service and forward-thinking approach, the company continues to expand and is looking for a committed individual to take ownership of a strategically important depot.

The Role:
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services while leading a team of 12+ staff including a Contracts Supervisor, Team Leaders, Operatives, and Tractor Drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of depot operations and service delivery
- Coordinate work schedules, logistics, and equipment usage
- Recruit, mentor, and support staff development
- Ensure machinery and vehicles are maintained and compliant
- Manage client relationships and seek opportunities to enhance contracts
- Monitor performance via internal digital systems
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and contract records
- Deliver work safely, on time, and within budget
- Maintain a commercial focus to support growth and profitability

The Candidate:
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Understanding of operational planning and equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with digital contract tracking or CRM systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify efficiencies
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to grow the depot
- Flexible and open to occasional travel or overnight stays

The Package:
- Basic salary of £50,, with a minimum £5, performance bonus
- Company pickup truck, private healthcare, laptop, and mobile phone
- Monday to Friday working hours with a degree of flexibility
