Robert Half have partnered with a rapidly expanding company that is looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their close-knit finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to gain broad exposure and grow alongside a thriving brand. You'll be a key part of the business, supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks while working closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial processing and reporting. This role would ideally suit someone with a strong foundation in finance (either through studies or experience) who is eager to learn and progress within a supportive and collaborative team. This would be based from 3 days in the office (Uxbridge) and 2 days from home. Accounts Payable (AP): Process invoices and payments Manage supplier queries and aged creditors Accounts Receivable (AR): Issue sales invoices and chase payments Reconcile customer accounts and aged debtors Journal Entries / Month-End: Post journals (accruals, prepayments) Support timely month-end close Variance Analysis: Compare actuals vs. budget Highlight and explain key variances Cost Analysis: Track and analyse operational costs Identify savings and inefficiencies Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly Investigate discrepancies and ensure accuracy Budgeting: Support annual budget preparation Work with teams to gather and validate data Forecasting: Assist with regular financial forecasts Update based on performance and trends Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
