Weare actively involved in care transformation for older people of Barnsley atIntegrated Care Board level through the development of a Frailty Virtual Ward,Frailty SDEC, and Integrated Care with community colleagues, as well as servicedevelopment and delivery in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings. Main duties of the job Adetailed job plan will be agreed with the successful candidate on appointment.The successful applicant will be contracted to 10 PAs per week on average. It isanticipated that the split of programmed activities will be 8.5 direct clinicalcare and 1.5 supporting professional activities to ensure successful GMCrevalidation. Additional PAs can be negotiated and agreed with the DivisionalDirector and Clinical Lead to reflect additional management and professionalresponsibilities, but the successful candidate will not be expected to committo working more than 10 programmed activities on average per week. The agreedjob plan will be subject to annual review and job planning. Thispost will include weekend working on Frailty SDEC, currently just onSaturdays. Seven days a week working iscurrently being reviewed by the Trust and the COTE team is expected to provide7 days consultant cover for Geriatric Medicine once this is operational.
