About the Role
Our Senior Healthcare Support Workers (SHCSWs) form an essential and well‑respected part of our healthcare teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the community, in our acute hospitals or within our theatres teams to name just a few.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking multidisciplinary team. This is a substantive role for 3 days a week within the department. Working days will be fixed.
* NVQ 3 in healthcare.
* Recent experience of working in an outpatient setting and working with people with diabetes and endocrine conditions is desirable but not essential.
* Venepuncture skills would be an advantage.
* Flexible approach to work, good communication skills, effective time‑management and IT skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, often clinically challenging environment are essential.
* Work alongside a team of experienced nurses assisting them in providing outpatient clinics and care, education and support to people with diabetes and endocrine conditions.
* Day‑to‑day running of clinics (including externally booked clinics), clinic room preparation, ensuring clinics run smoothly, maintaining stock levels and clinical admin.
* Usual work hours will be 09:00‑17:00 Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with some flexibility to cover earlier starts/later finishes.
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week.

Salary Band 3: £25,760‑£27,476 per annum pro rata
