The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Risk & Compliance to lead the compliance team. You will oversee all aspects of risk management, regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, and data protection, ensuring operations meet regulatory standards and industry best practices. This is a vital role in maintaining the firm’s integrity and supporting our strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the Compliance Officer, MLRO & DPO, supporting operational teams with compliance controls
* Develop and implement risk & compliance frameworks to enhance governance
* Shape and execute the risk strategy aligned with business goals
* Design the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite, and Risk Register
* Oversee GDPR compliance and cyber risk mitigation as Data Protection Officer
* Lead, manage, and develop the risk & compliance team
* Advise the Board on regulatory obligations and emerging risks
Ideal Candidate:
1. Over 10 years’ senior compliance experience within financial services, ideally within lending or specialist finance
