Job Description
3. Prepare and review financial statements in line with regulatory requirements.
4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
5. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
6. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes to aid strategic decisions.#
7. Engage with Financial Controllers and leadership teams to drive financial objectives, including PBT growth, cash generation and other scorecard initiatives.
8. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior management.
9. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial procedures.
10. Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
11. Provide financial advice and support to various departments.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
12. Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
13. Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and solid technical accounting expertise.
14. Experience in preparing VAT declarations and statutory financial statements.
15. Experience in financial analysis and budgeting processes.
16. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
17. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
18. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
19. Previous experience in the energy & natural resources sector is desirable.
