The Role – Quality Assurance Officer
Reporting to the Head of Data and MIS, you will provide a comprehensive internal quality assurance (IQA) service across the organisation’s provision.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and conducting monitoring and quality assurance activities
*
Monitoring tutor performance and identifying CPD and development opportunities
*
Ensuring assessment decisions are safe, fair, valid and reliable
*
Standardising assessment practice and supporting moderation activity
*
Tracking learner progress, analysing retention and achievement data, identifying trends and improvement strategies
*
Ensuring documentation and records meet regulatory and awarding body requirements
*
Supporting awarding body EQA visits to maintain Direct Claims Status
*
Supporting Ofsted preparation activities aligned to the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
*
Taking ownership of OneFile e-portfolio compliance for assigned cohorts
*
Working closely with the Quality Team and senior stakeholders to maintain high-quality provision
You will play a central role in strengthening compliance, maintaining awarding body standards and driving quality improvement across the organisation.
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

Experience of delivery within adult education or private training providers
*
Strong working knowledge of internal quality assurance processes
*
Understanding of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements and funding compliance
*
Proven knowledge of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
*
Experience supporting adult learners across ASF, Skills Bootcamps, Apprenticeships or similar provision
*
L4 IQA / IV / D34 qualification (or working towards as part of a development plan)
*
L3 Teaching qualification (AET/PTTLS) and assessor qualification (A1 or equivalent)
*
Confident use of OneFile and digital e-learning platforms
*
Strong data analysis capability linked to learner progress and quality improvement
*
High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
*
Commitment to safeguarding, Prevent and learner wellbeing
