Working as a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll evaluate how a person's health conditions impact their daily activities. This position focuses on professional assessment, evidence review and written clinical justification rather than treatment delivery. The hybrid model combines home working with attendance at an assessment centre, providing consistency, routine and improved work-life balance.
What you'll do
Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic mannerAnalyse medical evidence and clinical informationProduce accurate, detailed and evidence‑based written reportsWork to defined quality standards and clinical frameworksEngage positively with feedback and development opportunitiesCollaborate with clinical and administrative colleaguesAttend the assessment centre as requiredWhat we're looking for
Essential:
Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational TherapistActive NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictionsMinimum 1 year's UK clinical experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsConfident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)Desirable
Experience in functional assessment or advisory rolesConfidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reportsWhat's on offer
