Average of 40 hours per week
Sat-Wed 8:45am - 4:15pm Wintertime (October-March)
To manage and control the day-to-day operational needs of HWRC site(s) for the local authority contract. The role involves both administration and site-based operational duties, ensuring that HWRC site(s) operate in accordance with contract requirements, statutory legislation, environmental obligations, and company procedures.

* Plan and control daily operations through the efficient use of staff.
* Ensure suitable and efficient utilization of resources to deliver operational performance and availability.
* Monitor, analyze, record, and report on operations; implement corrective actions as needed.
* Coordinate all planned and unplanned maintenance to maximize operational availability.
* Provide a safe and efficient environment, ensuring health & safety compliance and adherence to company procedures and safe systems of work.
* Support in producing the annual budget for the facilities and monitor monthly performance against it.
* Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, customers, and the public.
* Maintain and train staff according to the Company Training Matrix.
* Ensure HWRC site(s) are operated/managed to promote positive public interaction.
* Manage, lead, and motivate a team of 20 employees and agency staff to maximize their potential for mutual benefit.
* Stay informed about waste industry technology, legislation, and market developments affecting the company.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, and other relevant bodies.
Requirements
Here’s what we require:
* IOSH managing safety or equivalent H&S qualification.
* Wamitab COTC Level 4 qualification or working towards it (desirable).
* Assist in other areas of the company’s activities as required.
* Availability for emergency call-out by telephone.
