This role is part of an employment advice service embedded within Talking Therapies to support people with common mental health problems with employment needs. The post holder will manage and support a team of Employment Advisors (EAs) in offering a support service to individuals with common mental health problems as part of their clinical care package to gain, return to or retain employment. The role will lead and oversee the delivery of an employment advice service in the Wirral, ensuring alignment with the service strategy and achievement of agreed KPIs. Duties/responsibilities • Lead a team of Employment Advisers who support individuals across a range of employment needs - including those returning to work after a period of sickness, those at risk of losing their job or struggling in the workplace, and those who are unemployed and planning a route into meaningful activity and sustainable employment. • Horizon scan and understand psychological therapies provision, employment law legislation, the local labour market and where to access opportunities, benefits systems and developments within provision for people with mental health conditions, providing the correct signposting and support to meet service user’s needs • Provide supervision and support to Employment Advisors, including regular case discussions, reflective practice and wellbeing check-ins. • Contribute to staff development through mentoring, training delivery, or identifying learning needs across the team. • Lead and evolve a service, using key data to make data informed decisions around resource, policies, referrals and opportunities for the service user(s) employment options, to embed a culture of continuous improvement and build pathways for the service user. About you We would love to hear from you if you possess the following: Experience of working in mental health or social care sector and providing advice, guidance, and employment support to people with disabilities or other vulnerable groups. Ability to collate and analyse data and present material clearly and concisely. Ability to work on your own initiative, use own judgement and make decisions. Be reflective of own working practices and open to change and improvement Very good organisational and time management skills, able to manage and prioritise own work. A thorough understanding of the support needs of vulnerable individuals in relation to gaining employment. Experience working in a IAPT service (desirable) Please note, the successful candidate will typically work between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility in line with service need, may involve some occasional evening or weekend work.
