Based in Aldershot, our client offers a range of CNC machining, prototyping, and other engineering services of the highest quality to a variety of industries including aviation, scientific, defence and motorsport.
Job Requirements
* A high degree of experience and skill programming and setting CNC lathes.
* Used to working in a variety of materials and often to tight tolerances.
* Able to use initiative in the tasks undertaken.
* Positive, courteous, and flexible manner needed for working with our positive, courteous and flexible team.
Main Responsibilities
* To assist the planning and efficiency in the CNC sections.
* Working on a variety of Fanuc 2 & 3 axis lathes.
* Option to program offline using Shopturn CAD / CAM.
* Ensure all programs are saved and organised as per our company procedure.
* Plan and specify tooling requirement for production, including fixture and cutting tool list.
* Ensure machining processes are optimised, particularly on large batches.
* Support and advise other employees when required, in machining and programming techniques.
* Working to established and developing company procedures in a continuously improving environment.
