Process Coordinator, Utilities
The Process Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations within the organization's utilities and services department. This includes identifying, initiating, and coordinating necessary actions to maintain business continuity.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of process improvements, coaching team members to enhance Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance, reducing costs, and improving productivity.
* Ensure efficient treatment of contaminated and non-contaminated effluent
* Direct operational personnel during shifts, facilitating cross-skilling between operational and engineering teams as needed
* Lead and coordinate HSE performance, introducing new ideas to develop CSL Seqirus safety standards
* Evaluate and optimize defined processes to meet HSE, customer, and productivity requirements
* Identify, respond to, and rectify engineering issues within the U&S areas on each shift
* Conduct shift handovers, highlighting any safety, maintenance, personnel, and environmental concerns, as well as quality and production requirements
* Plan and allocate work activities and priorities for each shift
* Prepare and issue work permits for the ETA
* Guarantee adequate resources and materials are available to support process needs
* Promote environmental stewardship and prevent potential environmental impacts on their shift and the local community
* Provide first-line emergency response outside regular working hours, adhering to the Site Emergency Plan
This position requires close collaboration with the ETA Manager to ensure effective daily team operations, including:
* Planning shifts to achieve objectives, such as resource allocation, holiday coverage, minimum manning levels, and reactive unplanned absence cover
* Deputizing for the ETA Manager when necessary
* Leading team meetings, assigning tasks, and providing feedback on performance
* Contributing to team development planning and maintaining the LMS system for team members
Requirements:
* Experience in utilities plant engineering and/or bulk chemical/high hazard operations
* Supervisory experience within a bulk chemical/high hazard environment
* Up-to-date knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, preferably with an HSE qualification (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH)
* A proven ability to motivate, lead, and coach Operational and Engineering associates to high levels of productivity and performance
* A working knowledge of Materials management principles
* Broad understanding of engineering principles and chemistry in a manufacturing and operational setting
* Experience in managing and implementing change
* Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing operation
