We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the team at Maryculter House - this role would suit a 'hands on' operator with a strong background in F&B. This independently owned 46 bedroom hotel is a popular wedding venue with banqueting facilities for up to 160 guests as well as offering two private dining rooms alongside our Poachers bar and restaurant.
You will be part of the management team overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, assisting with the ongoing profitability of the hotel whilst delivering a high level of service to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
The Successful Candidate Requirements:
· Exceptional communication and high level of passion for the hospitality industry.
· Excellent food and beverage background with knowledge of wine and whisky.
· Good sales experience with a commercial mind.
· Experience in running different events including weddings, private dining and leading restaurant services.
· Strong leadership skills and ability to support the General Manager and HODs.
· Attention to detail, maintaining a high level of standard in delivering a seamless guest experience.
· Management of recruitment, training, and development of team members.
· Ability to review and implement procedures to continually improve the business and monitor H&S.
· Good business acumen, financial knowledge and budgeting experience.
· Always seeking opportunities and ways to maximise revenue/sales.
· Willingness to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
