The role
*Overview*
The Royal Hotel is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our professional culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to develop their skills within a prestigious hotel environment.
*Duties*
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with hotel standards and menu specifications
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated section in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support junior kitchen staff as required, providing guidance and training where necessary
- Contribute to menu development and presentation to enhance guest satisfaction
*Skills*
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good understanding of meal preparation techniques across various cuisines
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism
- Serving experience is advantageous, especially in high-volume settings
