Job objectives and responsibilities
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
* Ensure SHE standards are maintained; liaise with engineers and subcontractors.
* Proactively liaison with clients to address concerns or relay to management as necessary.
* Compliance with and enforcement of existing business risk management procedures for maintenance and project works.
* Accurately complete all work-related documentation on time.
* Investigate and report in detail on infrastructure shortfalls, problems, and incidents, and recommend remedial actions.
* Coordinate connections to existing plant/systems and maintain O&M Manuals and quality procedures.
* Availability for scheduled and unplanned weekend working.
* Comply with company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and fire regulations.
* Work as part of a 24-hour 365-day operation with shift rota and out-of-hours call out functions.
Person specification / Qualifications
* One of the following certificates: Apprenticeship or equivalent, IOSH or equivalent, C&G/BTEC Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering Parts 1-3, NVQ with multi-skilled engineering Level 3, C&G 2079 F Gas or equivalent, HVAC or gas equivalent, or C&G 2391/2 18th edition IEE regulations.
* Previous relevant experience in providing electrical maintenance services in a large, complex environment.
* Basic to intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience updating records.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing; excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
* Substantial practical experience with knowledge of building services disciplines (heating, hot water, ventilation, refrigeration, environmental, electrical power and distribution, public health).
* Team player with flexibility within contracted hours and a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
