We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank EDIC Clinical Coordinator to join our Primary Care team at HMP Pentonville, a category B remand prison located in London.
Pentonville has a large pharmacy where medications are dispensed on the wings.
Hours
8-4pm - Monday to Friday
Occasional shifts on Saturdays
Salary
This position is full-time, with an annual salary of £25.14 per hour.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role. Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As an Early Days in Custody Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring patients have medical care plans, assessing patients, and carrying out relevant clinical investigations upon their arrival, along with arranging follow-up appointments, offering advice, and providing information.
* Evaluating and ensuring the safe transfer of patients to acute hospitals if needed, ensuring plans of care are understood by the patient and the prison as appropriate. Demonstrating critical thinking skills in clinical decision-making.
* Supporting in undertaking audits and governance.
* Providing healthcare to patients on-site in the healthcare unit and across the prison, including emergency care such as suturing, dressings, and primary care functions.
* Leading a team of healthcare practitioners, including specialists, to deliver effective and safe medical services within the prison.

Qualifications required
* Registered NMC nurse – Adult
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working complexities
* Knowledge of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards
* Understanding of audit processes and Datix
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is preferred but not essential.
