SUMMARY OF ROLE
This role is based from the Portsmouth office working in our Portsmouth City Council term maintenance contract. The contract services and maintains over 8,000 social housing homes and 718 council buildings. You will join our maintenance team of over 150 staff, delivering this contract for over 12 years.
You will work across various properties including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage sites, and Museums.
In these settings, you will apply your skills, knowledge, and training to perform the "right work at the right time," ensuring high-quality workmanship, health & safety, and compliance with company procedures.
We value a positive attitude, teamwork, and adaptability. You will maintain professionalism when interacting with customers, client representatives, and colleagues, demonstrating high standards of customer service and care.
The key responsibilities include:
* Electrical testing and inspection
* Reactive repairs and fault finding
* Full domestic electrical rewiring
* Electrical installations in kitchens and bathrooms
* Electrical installation of domestic heating systems
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (18th edition preferred)
* Testing and Inspection 2391 or equivalent (2394-2395)
A full, clean current driving license is essential to operate company vehicles.
