We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Shift Operations Manager to join our vehicle dismantling production facility. This is a senior leadership role where you'll take full shift level accountability across a high volume, data driven operation - converting end-of-life and salvage vehicles into quality assured, revenue generating parts.
If you're a confident operational leader who thrives under pressure, makes decisions using data and takes real ownership of output, cost and margin, this role puts you at the centre of a rapidly scaling operation with genuine progression on offer.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading multi-disciplinary teams across our yard, dismantling, production line, parts and warehouse departments on shift
Making senior operational decisions whilst on shift
Taking real accountability for output, cost and margin from day one
Delivering planned vehicle throughput and parts recovery performance
Managing bottlenecks, backlog and takt adherence in real time
Controlling labour productivity, utilisation and overtime spend
Protecting contribution margin through disciplined, focused execution
Driving safety compliance and responding to risk on shift
Leading structured continuous improvement and embedding lean thinking across your teams
Swing shift pattern, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (6:00am-3:00pm (one week) / 3:00pm-12:00am (following week))
What We're Looking For
Proven experience leading large teams in fast-paced production or manufacturing environments
Commercially aware - understands cost, value and contribution margin, not just output
Confident, data-led decision maker who performs well under pressure
Demonstrable track record of improving performance and eliminating waste
Visible leadership presence with a culture of accountability and pace
Automotive or high-volume production experience is advantageous
IOSH Managing Safely desirable
