Overview

Property Lawyer (Residential) – Brent Council

Salary range: £52,194 - £55,323 (pro-rata) p.a. inc. London weighting. Contract: 6 months fixed term. Hours of work: 36 hours per week. Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time.


The Post

You will be one of a team of lawyers dealing with Residential Property Right to Buy matters. You will be able to demonstrate experience of residential property conveyancing transactions, Right to Buy and other related property matters will be your main area of work. You will have good drafting skills and an eye for detail as well as a good understanding of conveyancing law and practice. You will be able to conduct your caseload with minimum supervision and will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.

This post is classified as a flexible worker and requires 3 days office attendance a week.


The Person

This role may suit someone wishing to move from a private law firm or charity sector to a career in local government. This is a great opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional to join a friendly, committed and highly regarded legal team to help deliver quality legal advice, as well as making a real contribution to the quality of life and sustainability of the borough.

We are looking for a team player who is self-motivated and flexible with good communication skills. You will be required to work to tight timescales.
