Job Details
Performs general law enforcement duties in the protection of persons and property; enforcing applicable policies, rules and regulations of Cambridge Health Alliance and applicable federal, state and local laws, to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents.
* Investigates crimes and other violations of Massachusetts laws and ordinances.
* Makes arrests and sets up appropriate complaints for the courts for those in violation of the law.
* Assists in the escorting of deceased patients.
* Observe and detain patients who are in crisis and deemed in need of special services.
* Investigates individuals or situations that appear to be of a suspicious nature.
* Provides safety escorts as needed.
* Provides for the safety and security of all patients, visitors and staff.
Qualifications
* Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or two years of prior law enforcement experience, or two years of military experience with an honorable discharge.
* One year prior experience in security, loss prevention and/or criminal justice.
* Basic knowledge of security and law enforcement practices.
* Able to produce concise, accurate and well written reports.
* Able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
* CPR Certificate/First Responder Certificate.
* All newly hired candidates must successfully complete a job specific physical agility test.
