What skills and experience we're looking for
The team at Beverley Minster C of E Primary School is looking to appoint a SENCO who will play a pivotal role in providing a high standard of strategic and operational leadership to support pupils of all backgrounds and abilities. The successful candidate will fulfil the duties of a SENCO to support our growth, provide high-quality support, and inclusive education to pupils with SEMH needs.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement inclusive education strategies for pupils with SEMH needs.
* Provide strategic and operational leadership for SEN support.
* Collaborate with professionals, parents/carers and teams to deliver effective reviews and interventions.
* Participate in planned reviews and statutory processes.
* Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of staff and pupils.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
* Strong knowledge of statutory processes and experience engaging with professionals and parents/carers.
* Desire to be a significant part of supporting young people with SEMH needs.
* Relevant SENCO qualification desired; full funding for training will be provided for the right candidate.

Further details about the role
Starting in September 2026, the role is up to 26 hours per week and will be paid on TEAL’s Leadership pay scale L1 to L4 (£51,773 to £55,747) DOE. If you are interested in working on a part-time or job-share basis, please get in touch as we would be happy to explore this further with you.
