About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a
Junior Kitchen Manager
to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness! In this exciting role, you will report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in running our bustling kitchen. You’ll lead a fantastic team of talented chefs and step up in the Kitchen Manager's absence. Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine through as you monitor and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. As a natural leader, you’ll inspire your team through daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure our food presentation is top-notch. Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to our high standards. You'll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations in line with legislation and company policies. As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll ensure training schedules and performance development plans are in place, motivating your team to create memorable experiences for our guests. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a team serving our guests who have booked a half-board dining package. Someone who can foster strong connections with leaders and team members across the resort. You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification
and be confident in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen environment. As with any chef role at this level, you’ll manage margins, control costs, and oversee all health, safety, and hygiene aspects. Our chefs at Butlin’s are truly special, and we know our guests love returning to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience. The ideal candidate will be fun, eager to join in, and committed to ensuring our guests have a fantastic time, every time! This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note, this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
