Conveyancing Assistant - Wirral
The Firm
A progressive and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join its well-established team based on the Wirral. With over 50 years of history, the firm has built a strong reputation and continues to invest in the growth of its CQS and Lexcel accredited conveyancing department. Due to a sustained increase in instructions from both new and existing referrers, estate agents and mortgage brokers, the team is now looking to expand.
The Role
You will work closely with an experienced fee earner, providing support on a busy caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include assisting with:
* Opening and setting up new files
* Ordering and reviewing searches
* Drafting contracts and raising enquiries
* Preparing completion and redemption statements
* Submitting SDLT applications
* Drafting Land Registry documentation
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and other third parties
* File closure and archiving
The Candidate
A minimum of two years' experience within residential conveyancing is essential. You will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting fee earners are key.
